How can we capture architecture in a way other than with a pencil or a camera? Together, we’ll try our hand at cyanotype—an old photographic technique that produces images in a rich blue hue. We’ll focus on the buildings and grounds of our headquarters designed by architect Karel Prager, whose 25th anniversary of his passing we’re commemorating on 31 May. We’ll explore the shapes, elements, and interesting details of Prager’s Cubes. Using light, shadows, and various materials, we’ll create imprints of the structures and assemble our own compositions. Everyone will leave the workshop with a memorable experience, a new skill, and an original picture.
