Identity ready for change
Where does the city end and nature begin? And how can calls for more trees and parks transform the city's character? Swiss landscape architect Lukas Schweingruber's lecture will focus on environments that seek a balance between growth and sustainability, where green spaces become instruments of change. Schweingruber will present the approach of his studio, Studio Vulkan, which focuses on design with an emphasis on atmosphere, context, and an open approach. Instead of stylistic unity, it relies on a natural and relaxed aesthetic. Experience from Swiss and German projects—from rooftop gardens to city parks—will be complemented by personal reflections on how landscape architecture shapes the environment and society today.
