Do we all perceive cities in the same way? How do our needs differ? And why do we need to plan cities for everybody? Canadian urban geographer, professor and writer Leslie Kern asks all these questions in her book Feminist City. Now, with her new book, Gentrification Is Inevitable and Other Lies, she addresses the phenomenon of gentrification. In CAMP, the author will present the book and its increasingly relevant topics of unaffordable housing and the rising cost of living in certain neighborhoods that all cities face today. What steps should we take to mitigate gentrification or to put a stop to it? Leslie Kern will be joined by urban planner Rozálie Kašparová from IPR Prague to discuss this. This event is in English.
