Prague is set to hold elections for the City Council this year. What are the leaders of the major parties offering Prague residents? And how do they plan to address the issues that will be crucial for the city’s future? Representatives from the seven parties running in the Prague elections will come together in a debate organized by Reflex and the Padni komu padni podcast. The discussion will compare the parties’ programs and views on the city’s future direction. One segment will focus on transportation: should Prague raise parking fees or public transit fares? Should politicians promise a more car-friendly Prague, or focus on developing public transit? The second segment will address housing affordability and urban development. Will the Metropolitan Plan help the housing situation, and what should follow it? The third part will then be open to questions from the audience.
