Soundtrack of Prague: Freedom & DEVADE

From the gray of socialism to the vibrant colors of democracy. How has Prague changed since the days when yellow-and-white Public Security vehicles patrolled its streets, up until the Czech Republic’s accession to the European Union? This exploration of the city’s history will take you through decades of dynamic change. The screening of two audiovisual essays prepared especially for CAMP will be complemented by previously unpublished footage from the Soundtrack of Prague: Freedom project and the DEVADE exhibition. The event will also feature additional materials from the Prague City Archives and the IPR Prague archives. Alongside the author of the screenings, Pierre Urban, architectural historian Martina F. Koukalová will guide you through the evening, providing insights into the cultural and social context with implications for urban planning and architecture.
