We present the current form of the Metropolitan Plan, including comments from the public and city districts. Why is it important for Prague? It is a flexible framework for managing the city’s development in the 21st century. It concerns everyone who lives in Prague or commutes to the city. It sets clear boundaries for where Prague is to grow and where nature is to be preserved. Within these boundaries, it simplifies the planning process, thereby speeding up construction. It leads to the creation of neighbourhoods where people have everything they need. It promotes the faster development of housing and transport infrastructure. It establishes a fair environment for developers with a stake in public amenities.
