Throw it away? Or transform it? Come help clean up CAMP and give these items a second life at the same time. Under the guidance of experienced designers for whom recycling is a natural part of their creative process, we’ll work with materials from exhibitions—from paper and banners to plywood and other installation elements. You’ll take home your own piece of CAMP and learn to think about materials in a new way.
During the afternoon, under the guidance of artist Denisa Švachová, you’ll sew a large or small bag out of old exhibition banners.
Denisa Švachová is a visual artist and designer based in Zurich. She graduated from the Intermedia Studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and the Fine Arts Studio at ZHdK in Zurich. In her work, she combines scenography, video, and participatory formats. She is the founder of the Seed Office project, which focuses on upcycling and sharing through hands-on workshops. In her practice, she works primarily with recycled and found materials, and through her work, she raises questions about our relationship to nature, resources, and everyday habits.
Registration for the workshop will open on 1 June.
