Throw it away? Or give it a new life? Come help clean up CAMP and give things a second life at the same time. Under the guidance of experienced designers for whom recycling is a natural part of their creative process, we’ll work with materials from exhibitions—from paper and banners to plywood and other installation elements. You’ll take home your own piece of CAMP and learn how to think about materials in a new way.
In this workshop with designer Matěj Coufal, we will explore the use of recycled materials in architecture and design. Under the guidance of the designer and our instructors, you will then use materials from the exhibitions to create a lamp.
Matěj Coufal graduated from the Product Design Studio at UMPRUM and, together with Eduard Herrmann, ran the successful studio Herrmann & Coufal. In 2024, he founded his own studio, PLAYFORM, where he specializes in the handcrafted production and design of interior products made from recycled paper. His work includes projects guided by principles of sustainability, such as handmade craftsmanship, the use of local resources, reuse and recycling, social responsibility, zero waste, and low-tech approaches. Throughout his career, he has received numerous prestigious awards, including the Czech Grand Design Award, the ELLE Decoration International Award, the BIG SEE Award, and the Red Dot Award.
Registration for the workshop will open on 1 June.
