Prague Yesterday: Connected City

How did railways, trams and metro shape the face of our capital? This history lecture will outline the development of Prague's rail transport from its beginnings in the first half of the 19th century to the modern metro network. Did you know that Grébovka was built on the soil excavated from the construction of the Vinohrady railway tunnel? Or that a tram line ran across the Charles Bridge? Come and find out how rail transport subtly but fundamentally changed the map of Prague. Marek Binko, a former railway worker and current transport concept specialist at IPR, will guide us through the topic.
