What does it take to design a building that truly belongs to its city? How does architecture respond to its surroundings, people, and public life? In this course, students will explore the basics of architectural design and apply them to a real site in Prague. Together, we will imagine how CAMP could look if it were not located in its current building, and what role public architecture plays in the city.
Through site excursions, students will learn to observe and analyse urban space – from scale and movement to structure and atmosphere. They will develop key architectural skills, including site analysis, concept development, drawing plans and sections, and building physical models. Each class introduces new technical tools and practical knowledge used by architects to develop and communicate ideas.
