CAMP Tour: From Lihovar to Smíchov City

The area around Nádražní Street is one of Prague's most significant brownfields – previously used but neglected sites awaiting a new future. The site is currently undergoing extensive transformation: the Smíchov City district is being built here, with plans for a park in the form of a wide, almost kilometre-long city boulevard. The railway junction is being modernised, including the Praha-Smíchov transport terminal, which will offer barrier-free access to the platforms and a bus station directly on the roof of the building. The Dvorecký Bridge will also improve the connection between the area and the rest of the city, as it will strengthen tram connections and provide an alternative for pedestrians and cyclists. The main projects in this changing area will be presented during a guided walk by guide Lenka Hubáčková.

Practical information:

  • The walk is primarily intended for seniors, and registration is via the Elpida Education and Cultural Centre's reservation system.
  • The commentary will take place in a public space, i.e. in a relatively noisy environment.
  • The meeting point is at 9:50 before the start of the event at the Lihovar tram stop (towards the city centre).
  • The route is approximately 3.5 km long and ends at the Anděl metro station, Na Knížecí entrance.
  • The walk will take approximately 2 hours.
