Discovering the City: Kunsthalle and Building Sculptures

How did an old electrical transformation station become an art gallery? We will focus on form and function in architecture and visit Kunsthalle. What did the architects, Schindler Seko, have to change about Vilém Kvasnicka's modern-classical palace to accommodate contemporary art? Inside, almost everything! For example, the building's internal structure originally used a type of concrete that is now banned. We'll see more significant changes like this as we take a closer look, even though the building looks much the same from the outside as it once did. We will also check out the concrete scale models of selected Prague buildings by Krištof Kintera, which are exhibited in the park opposite. The program is designed for children from 8 to 18 years old.

Departure is at 15.00 from CAMP and returning at 18.00.

This event is in Czech only.
