In the 1920s, the author of Lovci mamutů and Bronzový poklad built a children's farm on Libeňský ostrov together with his pupils. It became a popular nature classroom for children in the middle of the city. Eduard Štorch regarded nature education as the basis of school education. Together, we will follow in the footsteps of this famous writer, amateur archaeologist and, above all, teacher, on a tour of this forgotten place, which was renovated last year. Our guide will be Michaela Nohejlová Zemková from the Faculty of Science of Charles University, who, together with other enthusiasts, is behind its revival. We will search for the history of the place, discover representatives of the plant and animal kingdom, and play in nature.
The programme is designed for children aged 7 and up. We also welcome parents who want to enjoy a group outing with an expert guide. The meeting time is 3 pm at CAMP, returning to CAMP around 5.30 pm. Reservations on GoOut (1 reservation for 1 child with any accompanying adult).
