What does it mean to have a home? To have an apartment? To be warm? To have security and certainty? To have a base? At a time of energy crisis, high inflation, and rising rents and property prices, the information portal mitdomov.cz was created as part of the Support for Social Housing project from the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (MPSV). The website summarises various forms of assistance for people in housing need and showcases individual stories of people who have been helped by social housing in a miniseries of short videos directed by Petr Racka. It also offers tips and advice from social workers who help people keep their housing despite difficult life situations. The screening of each film will be followed by a discussion on the possible ways out of the housing crisis and the current forms of assistance available to people in need.
