As a child, Louise Lemoine spent years in and out of hospitals caring for her severely disabled father. She confronts her traumatic memories with a cinematic exploration of the REHAB facility in Basel—a unique medical space adapted for special purposes. The facility was built at the turn of the century by the Swiss studio Herzog & de Meuron, and the architects intended for the treatment center not to look or feel like a hospital. Directing duo Bêka and Lemoine break the building down into individual sub-elements that resonate sensitively with the mental state of the patients.
